This project is about the use of online technology to experience music with others, and how this works for the artists and the audience.
It’s being led by Alexandra Lamont, Professor of Music Psychology at Keele University.
I’m interested in finding out how people engage with music listening in groups over the internet, through things like listening parties or live-streamed concerts. This is timely and important because Covid-19 has prevented many people around the world from attending live events, which has created a gap in our abilities to connect through music.
